1 Chronicles 29 - A Leader with No Followers

Updated: Feb 12, 2021

“Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.” 1 Chronicles 29:23

Have you ever tried to lead a group of people but as you turned around there was only a ragtag group of scattered people left behind you? How can you lead if people are not intent to follow? What a beautiful scene we see here that Solomon was obediently led by God and the people were then in turn obediently led by Solomon. And not just some people, all the people. Today we see countless people in our world that want to lead, but we see so few that want to be led. As a true leader, you have to possess a foundation upon which you lead and are led, a foundation of which only God can lay. If you’re steeped in your own selfish, prideful agenda, it will be impossible for you to lead or be led. Today, serve, worship, and pour your love into a God that first loved you enough that He sent his only Son here to die for you. To die so that you can place your faith in Him and be united with Him eternally in Heaven. Today, obey the goodness of Almighty God and be led by the power of His love.

“Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.” Psalms 5:8
