Good morning y a'll! This is the day the Lord has made, let's rejoice in it! Here comes day 18 of the 5MC. As I read this morn from Matt 21:23 to 22:40 Jesus was "tested" by the religious leaders at least 4 different times. Their primary goal was to entangle Him in His words so that they could not only disprove Him but His entire doctrine. (22:14, 22:35) Jesus was of course always prepared (22:18) and used God's Word, God's principles & God's people to answer them & completely disarm them. That's why they had to keep trying to trip Him up! How completely comforting to know that's God's Word is 100% true and it is the same scripture we read this morning that Jesus used to defend God's kingdom to the Pharisees & Saducees over 2000 years ago.
