LUKE 19

Jet lag is a bummer. We popped up at 2:30 this morn with enough energy to run a 5k..(ok, I exaggerate a bit) Did some writing and since we were up we went & grabbed some breakfast, which we never do. Back home to nap til 11 and then woke up feeling drugged...ha! Hopefully another day or so to shake it off.

We're heading down to see our parents in Combine today so I'm doing my 5MC in the car as Margie drives. I read out loud so we could discuss as I process.

Luke 19:1-10 is the story of Zacheus, a tax collector that was not known for his ethics. As Jesus calls to him in the tree & has dinner at his house that night, the priests grumble that Jesus is hanging out with sinners. The story culminates in verse 10..."For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost."

What a beautiful, powerful statement. Thank goodness this is true. How else are sinners to come to know Christ if He did not spend time in their presence?

The application for me today? If I spend all my time at church or only with my church friends who am I reaching? Get out of your comfort zone, reach out to the world & let your light shine in dark places.

There's a saying that to get what you've never gotten you have to be willing to go somewhere you've never been.

You are the lights of the world, shine brightly today to a world that desperately needs it!

Me & my life group at Hong Kong harbor after a long day of exploring the city!

Peace & love to you all!
