LUKE 2

Updated: Dec 25, 2019

Happy Aloha Friday! And what a glorious day it is as Marge & I rise early to enjoy...cabinet doors! The old adage you don't know what you've got til it's gone is so true as we have lived without cabinet doors and drawers in the house for 5 weeks. I constantly need to be reminded to appreciate whats around me at every minute because it can be gone so quickly.

Tomorrow is the last day of our remodel and the last week has been tough with lots of distractions to pull me away from the 5MC but we fight for this time to be in Gods Word & I hope you do to.

In Luke 2:1-21 I read this morning of the Birth of Jesus. Several things strike me. First, the savior of the world, the son of God, the messiah, arrived in a dirty manger full of animals as there was no room for them at the local inn. Wow, talk about a reception. What a humble entrance into the world, a lesson we all need oh so much.

Second, Jesus' birth was no accident and believe it or not the WAY He was born fulfilled over 19 prophecies! God is very thorough and tells us through His Word what He's going to do, how He's going to do it & then does it! God's word is true, trustworthy, has the power of life & stands forever.

The simple, simple arrival of our Savior is a lesson in humility. Resist the tempatation to think too much of yourself, but instead make much of Jesus and make much of others.

God bless your day & God bless cabinet doors!
