Happy Saturday! Today is the LAST day of our remodel & we are soooo ready to get our home back after 9 weeks!! And just in time for us to unwind for a few days & pack before we head off to Hong Kong.
This morn in my 5MC I was in Luke Ch. 3 and read of John the Baptist preparing the way. John is an awesome no nonsense "mountain man" that was truly sanctified (set aside) for Gods use. He was born to Zechariah & Elizabeth in their "advanced years" to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah. (3:4)
John did not mince his words but spoke in a very direct blunt fashion about the fate of believers vs. non-beleivers as you can see in Luke 3:9 & 3:17. Here was a rough, tough, hard talking guy that lived in the wilderness eating locusts and honey and wearing camel skin clothes (Matt 3:4)...not exactly a Wall Street banker! I can only imagine John the Baptist in a board room meeting with his brash demeanor...talk about a tough meeting!
It really makes me ponder about how God uses all the different people in His Word to achieve His perfect plan. Extroverts, introverts, hot-heads, studderers, murderers, harlots, tax collectors, fishermen, cowards, hard-heads and even rough tough wilderness men all come together and work to the good of achieving what God has planned.
Never underestimate our God and what He can do with the gifts He has bestowed on you. They're not your gifts but God's gifts, search your heart and use them today to serve God & serve others.
Have a beautiful Saturday full of blessings beloved!
