Happy Tuesday from day 3 of camp in Hong Kong! What a great day yesterday! Our topics yesterday covered global relations in the workplace, leadership theory & process planning. Great topics presented in a fun way and the day ended with a dance party! (At one time I could limbo pretty good...what happened? : )
In my 5MC this morn in Luke 9:33 I read a well known passage...take up your cross and follow me. Look it up & read it very slowly....there's one word in there that can be missed easily...DAILY. Your walk with Christ is not on Sunday morning or Wed. night. It's not just at weekly Sunday school or at a monthly church social. Its not on a yearly mission trip. Jesus says we are to follow Him daily.
I love the John Maxwell quote, “You'll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.” If Jesus commands us to follow Him daily what does that look like? I'm glad you asked.
Start with the 5MC. Every morning spend 5 minutes in God's Word and He will speak into your life. He will tell you what you need to know about living your day, how to handle trying events and how to speak to people in His love.
Change your daily routine today & start spending 5 minutes in God's Word. I recommend you start in the book of John. Set a timer, read for 5 minutes, then mark your place & stop. Repeat for 30 days in a row & watch your world change. That's the power of His Word.
