Good morning! Here we are back from our 5 week service trip to Village Baptist sitting in our home that we've owned for 4 months but only lived in for 3 weeks. We're back until July and then we're off to Hong Kong for 2 weeks for another service opportunity. While in Destin & working with the young adults we instituted the 5 minute challenge & I think I got the most out of it & will continue the posts here on Captain Aloha's FB. I'll also work on uploading the prior 30 days posts from Destin.
This morning in my time in God's Word I'm in Mark 11:22-25 where Jesus is explaining the withered fig tree. Jesus hits on 3 huge principles of the Christian walk...prayer, faith & forgiveness. Verse 25 reads "and whenever you stand praying ,forgive, for if you have anything against anyone, so that your father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." Forgiveness is so powerful not because of something you're "giving" the other person but what God is "giving" you by creating a heart like His. It seems impossible sometimes with the imperfect people of the world and the hurts they create but follow Jesus, offer true unconditional forgiveness and feel the difference in your heart.
